Friends, I haven’t connected with you for some time now, only because we are trying to keep pace with the exciting times in the country and the company. But recently we’ve been exhilarated with some great news, which I had to share with you - because it is you, who made it all possible…from the very beginning.

Four decades ago, when ITC decided to venture into the hospitality business, it was with one objective – to showcase the glory of India with its diverse offerings to visitors to the country. We wanted our hotels to mirror the ethos and culture of India, not just in architecture, design and interiors but in every aspect, ranging from cuisine to art to local weaves.

Over the years, our hotels have come to be recognised as landmarks in the cities they are located in, each reflecting India, each resonating with the culture and tradition of the region. Soon, each ITC hotel was being acknowledged not just for its luxurious hospitality, but also for doing so with an Indian soul.

Time and trends abeted the next level of luxury hoteliering, giving rise to Responsible Luxury; ITC’s hotels vowed to deliver luxury experiences without compromising the earth & to uphold sustainable practices without ever compromising on luxury.

Responsible Luxury paved the way for a new era in ITC Hotels’ journey…an era that saw the dawn of India’s first all-suites luxury retreat….

Today, nestled in the lap of the Aravali hills, sits a grand tribute to the glory of India; the ITC Grand Bharat. Ensconced in a 300-acre estate and conceived as the very idea of India, the retreat bears testimony to India’s ability to create globally competitive world-class brands, as it stands tall amongst some of the world’s greatest hotels and resorts, as the World’s No. 4 and Asia’s No. 1 Resort at the recent Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2015.

Every Indian can take pride in the fact that ITC Grand Bharat, a retreat that is themed on Indian architecture and Indian culture, exemplifying “AtithiDevoBhava” has garnered global recognition…The adulations are pouring in…

Thank you for being there, for making it happen, for ITC and for India….

The world is more at home with India!
